Festival Annual is teaming up with the UK Festival Awards to search for the “Festival Fan Photo” of 2009.

All summer festival-goers have been uploading and tagging their festival pics to the Festival Annual MySpace site hoping to be part of the official Festival Annual 09 book (published on 19 October). Uploaders racked up a staggering 1,000,000 views of festival photos within the first 5 weeks of launch, and already over 4,000 user photos have been uploaded for inclusion in the book. Every photo uploaded will be entered automatically into the competition to be considered for the Fan Photo Award, and new submissions can be made up until 14th October (details below).

We’re looking for the photo that most captures the spirit of Festival Culture 2009. The top 10 finalists will be given a pair of VIP tickets to the UK Festival Awards on the 19th November at Indigo2, 02 dome, London where the winner will pick up their very own award. Not only that, all finalists will have their photos included in an exhibition at the UK Festival Awards conference and the winner will get to spend a day with the Press Association's chief entertainment photographer, Yui Mok.

Submit your photos for the Fan Photo Award!

It’s easy to submit your photos. Just go to www.MySpace.com/FestivalAnnual and add festival annual as a friend, then upload your festival photos to your MySpace profile and use the tag function to tag ‘festival annual’. Simple.

Deadline for photo submissions for the Festival Fan Photo Award is 14th October.
